Refund & Returns Policy

Last Updated: 27 September 2025

At Printed Profanities, every product is printed with care, colour, and a dash of cheek. Because most of our items are custom-made to order, UK consumer law gives us some specific rules to follow — and we’d like to be upfront about them.

1. Your Right to Cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers usually have 14 days to change their minds when buying online. However, there’s an important exception: personalised or custom-made items. Once your order has been sent to print, it cannot be cancelled or refunded simply because you’ve changed your mind.

Translation: once your profanity has been immortalised in plastic, we can’t un-print it.

2. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described, that’s on us. We’ll either put it right with a replacement or issue a full refund — whichever you prefer. Please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order and include photos so we can sort things quickly.

3. Non-Custom Products

On the rare occasion we sell a non-customised product (for example, pre-designed stock), your usual 14-day cancellation right applies. You may return it unused and in its original packaging for a refund (excluding return postage).

4. How to Request a Refund

5. Timing of Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued back to your original payment method within 7–10 working days after we confirm eligibility. Please note that your bank or card provider may take a little longer to process it on their end.

6. Fairness First

We know these things can sometimes be awkward. That’s why we always aim for fairness — balancing your rights as a customer with the realities of running a small creative business. If something isn’t right, talk to us and we’ll always do our best to resolve it without fuss.

In short: No refunds for “I changed my mind” on custom orders, but if we mess up, we’ll fix it. Simple, honest, and fair.
